The advantages of 7-axis collaborative robots
The OB7 robotic arm has 7 mobile joints, like a human arm, which offers more maneuverability and flexibility than 6-axis or 5-axis robots. Each joint being able to rotate 360 degrees in both directions. The advantage is that it can reach more difficult to navigate areas, avoiding obstacles and other objects, such as doors. This makes the OB7 ideal for object placement applications, as well as the operation of various machinery and equipment that require additional flexibility.
Safety for people
OB7 is able to detect collisions at each joint and stop. Stop it safely by simply touching your hand. Then, to resume activity, touch the robotic arm at one of the joints. When operating at a secure collaboration speed, no supervision is required. For high speeds, an optional laser scanning safety module is available.
